The sporting achievements
The Vespa GS is the first Vespa with sporty mass-produced starting from 1955, thanks to the experience gained from the racing department Piaggio. Then you have to remember that this wasp is derived from the various models in particular the "six days" who took part in various events and sports competitions; in this paragraph you want to treat their history and all models that allowed the development of sports and the subsequent birth of GS from the end of the 40s'.
In those years the Piaggio decides to launch his creature even in sporting competitions and the first and surprising wasp racing produced and distributed to dealers in 1957 was the wasp 98 cc race with a desing designed to attend to the various street circuits and in races speed. Among the various major wins in the category of scooters in 1957 we remember the Grand Prix of Naples and the time trial climb to Rocca Di Papa (Rome). Fever Records in the early 50 'involved all the major producers of motor vehicles and did not spare the Piaggio.
